I wonder it anyone is interested in a sail to Bridlington on Friday 10th Aug? It is the Royal Yorkshire Yacht Club's 150th Regatta that week. I intend to depart Grimsby 17:00hrs. Take part in the Guy Shackles Trophy Race on the Saturday party with the R.Y.Y.C. on that night. Return to Grimsby on the Sunday. The hospitality of Yorkshire folk is legendary and you will receive a warm welcome from the R.Y.Y.C. Anybody up for it?

Details of the proposed end of May Bank Holiday Regatta at Hull are :-

1.Three nights mooring for the price of two from British Waterways.

2.One free buffet for all the crews paid for by British Waterways.

3.One free buffet for all the crews paid for by HAC ( on another day ).

4.Non - returnable entry fee of £10.00 per boat paid in advance ( Date to be agreed ) to enable Hull Marina to plan accordingly for the Bank Holiday Weekend.

Provided HAC can guarantee approximately 20 boats ( IRC and PY ) the event will take place

5.The Regatta will consist of two days racing on Saturday 26th May and Sunday 27th May 2007.This leaves every one the Bank holiday Monday to sail back to their home port on the midday tide.

Come for a cruise and an early season rally but get your boat of its moorings and come. Its not just a race.
